Lipsey’s is the most firearm-concentrated catalog we carry. Close to 60 percent of the roughly 20,900 Lipsey’s SKUs in our system are firearms, counting everything that carries a category, and bolt-action rifles alone are 23 percent of the book, the highest share of any distributor we connect to. Add semi-auto pistols at 16 percent, then semi-auto rifles, pump shotguns and revolvers, and the picture is clear: this is a gun house, not a broadline supplier.
For a dealer that means Lipsey’s is rarely the place to fill an accessory order, and often the first place to look for a hunting rifle or a distributor-exclusive configuration. Their exclusives are a real part of the value, and because those SKUs exist nowhere else, price comparison across distributors will correctly show Lipsey’s as the only source.
Through the API, Lipsey’s inventory arrives on the same schema as every other distributor, keyed on UPC, with cost, MAP and live stock. Worth knowing before you integrate: Lipsey’s gates feed access by IP address, so once you connect your own Lipsey’s credentials you may need your rep to whitelist our server.
